This year Apple has again come up with a new iPhone series that has a fantastic killer performance. Last year, Apple launched the iPhone 11, but iPhone 12 has broken all the sales records this year. The company has decided to go sustainable with the packaging, including a phone only, but this series is known to be Apple’s mainstream flagship iPhones.
On 13th October 2020, Apple launched a series of iPhone 12 with different models, including iPhone Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. With this launch, the rumors of the release of iPhone 12 flip have been ended. The different phone models offer various features so that every person can choose their phone according to their needs.
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini
The successor to iPhone 11 is the iPhone 12 with 6.1 inches screen. However, the iPhone 12 Mini is a whole new design and model of the phone. The launch of the iPhone 12 Mini marks the first smallest iPhone’s launch since 2016 when Apple launched iPhone SE. Both iPhone 12 and 12 Mini are technically identically, but both phones’ screen and battery size differ. iPhone 12 Mini can be easily used by people as it is more convenient and easier to handle with one hand. This year Apple changed the design for the iPhone 12 series, making the edges of the phone flat that is something different from the previous models which had round edges. For the first time, all the models launched this year have Super Retina XDR OLED Displays. The company has kept the display quality of all the models similar; i.e., iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models have the same quality of the display.
Features of iPhone 12
Although iPhone 12 is being sold at a more expensive rate than iPhone 11 last year, the phone comprises multiple new features. One of the phone’s main features is that all the new iPhone 12 models support 5G connectivity. This will assist in making downloads and uploads faster for users. Moreover, 5G connectivity supports enhanced video streaming and FaceTime calls.
Secondly, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini supports Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6, which will enhance connectivity with other devices. Apple has installed an A-14 Bionic Chip inside all the models of the iPhone 12, which is built on a 5-nanometer process for the first time ever. The purpose of the company is to improve the performance and efficiency of the new iPhone models.
With respect to iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, and iPhone 12 Pro models, the major differentiating factor is based on cameras. The iPhone 12 Pro models consist of a camera with a triple-lens setup. It also has a LiDAR scanner. On the contrary, the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini has a dual camera lens, which is much simpler and comparatively less advanced. The series’s selfie camera supports night mode, Smart HDR 3, night mode portraits, and deep fusion. Moreover, using a 20W adapter, both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini charges up to 50% in 30 minutes.
The pre-order date for iPhone 12 is 16th October 2020. This is followed by an official iPhone 12 release date, i.e. 23rd October 2020. In Pakistan, the iPhone 12 price starts from 189,000/-. Whereas, in USA, it starts from $649 excluding tax.
