Whether you are just starting out or you have an already established business, we have some tips on how you can get more web design clients and grow your business; these steps will help you to get more leads and clients easily.

1. Get active with your socials:

When you try to sell a service always remember that clients buy from people they know, like, and trust. This is why it is important to build a social presence and trust among your target group. Personal branding is one of the best practices when creating a unique identity in the market and it helps you build trust.

Use Social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.

Facebook:  Create a professional business page (filled with examples of your work) and encourage visitors to like and share to their networks. This will help you increase your reach.

Instagram: Around 1 billion people use Instagram every month, so you have a broad audience to target. Make a professional account for your business and post about your work, your projects, share tips, and tricks, etc. Posting regularly will keep you fresh in the mind of your target group

Don’t forget about LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and other social media platforms. There are many and which you will get the most benefit from depends on your product/service and your target group.

2. Design a landing page to capture leads:

Design an attractive and clean landing page to capture your leads and use these leads in remarketing.

Getting your landing page out into the world is a crucial step for capturing contact information from leads (i.e. potential clients). You have to create a good looking and attractive landing page with good copywriting, so it attracts people easily.

Your landing page should be shared frequently through your social media profiles and regularly optimized for conversion rate.

It is always easier to turn a lead into a client then trying to get more and more traffic to your site hoping that one of them is a potential client.

3. Ask for referrals:

Word of mouth is an incredible motivator when it comes to hiring people. Think about your home, are you more likely to hire an interior designer or electrician you have never heard of or are you partial to hire someone your family or friends have recommended?

Whenever you have a client, don’t be afraid to ask for referrals. They are a powerful source of new clients. These can be used as review quotes throughout your website. Alternatively, you can ask them to leave reviews on your most used channels (Google for organic traffic, Facebook for social media). You could also use ‘recommend a friend’ features on your business site.

It is easier to get a referral from a client you have a good relationship with. If you have some clients that keep coming back for more, ask them in a message or on a call if they would refer you when they hear of someone needing your work.

If some clients hesitate, offer them some free service, a free product, etc. This will help you to get more clients and also it will help you to improve bonding with your existing clients.

And lastly, don’t forget about case studies. There are potential clients that visit your website that will need that last push before contacting you. Case studies are a good way of showcasing your work.

4. Understand your ideal client’s customer journey

To create content, blogs, lead magnets, funnels, and other materials that will attract your potential clients, you first need to understand their customer journey.

Once you know the customer journey of your potential client, then you will be able to create content and lead magnets that deliver the right information needed at each stage of the journey. The idea is to deliver the right information to the right person at the right time so they take the next step toward making a buying decision.
